Realty in Big Bear Lake can be somewhat tricky if you are not well versed in the area. Big Bear is divided into numerous neighborhoods, areas, subdivisions, and zip codes. Not being an expert in these areas can result in overpaying for realty or worse. Ann expert in out of area realty will not be able to tell you if you are buying your peaceful cabin in a high rental area, for instance. Or, you could buy a cabin with the idea of renting it for extra income, only to discover that your out of area realty agent sold you a home in an area that is very poor in rental income.
